Introduction to Business
Students will learn how money affects their lives. Students will learn how to set goals and how to make sure they can stick to them. Students will also learn how to budget, how to choose a bank and the role a bank plays in money management. Students will also explore careers and how to be successful on the job.

Employability Skill Initiative
Career and Technical Education is beginning an initiative to help students gain the soft skills that employers expect from their employees. In many discussions and interviews with employers they have voiced the following skills as crucial for employment success: Attendance, Time Management, Professionalism, Communication, Quality of Work, Participation/Teamwork, Effort, and Critical Thinking. Throughout the semester we will be studying these skills and students will be assessed/evaluated on these skills. This will be their participation grade for the semester.
